Hey There! EJ here, with another edition of Cooking with Vegtabowl Foods. Today is Day 16 of the 28 Day Smoothie and things are getting pretty “peachy” with our Protein Peachy Keen Smoothie. The bananas and peaches give a nice tropical flavor to the smoothie with a subtle hint of vanilla from the plant-based vanilla protein powder. The aloe vera juice boosts your body’s detoxifying and cleansing process and of course, the almighty chia gives the smoothie a thicker texture and helps the smoothie “stick to your ribs” so that you are not feeling hungry 45 minutes after you have enjoyed your smoothie. Day 16

Protein Peachy-Keen Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • ½ Cup Orange Juice
  • ¼ Cup Aloe Vera
  • ½ Cup Non-Dairy Yogurt
  • 2 tbs. Chia Seeds
  • 1 Frozen or Fresh Banana
  • ½ Cup Frozen Peaches
  • ½ Cup Ice

Directions:

In a blender, add the ingredients in the following order:

  1. Orange Juice
  2. Aloe Vera
  3. Non-Dairy Yogurt
  4. Chia Seeds
  5. Frozen Banana
  6. Frozen Peaches
  7. Ice

Blend starting on low, gradually increasing to your blender’s highest setting. Blend until smooth.
