When I discovered Califia Almondmilk at my grocery store, I knew I had to try it.
Califia is a relatively new beverage company that prides itself on hand squeezing all of the goodness out of nuts and fruits to create their premium beverages. Located in California, Califia has set out to get you changing how you feel and what you think about non-dairy milk, with non-GMO ingredients and bottled in a chic and modern carafe, this brand is bound to grab your attention and your taste buds once you give it a try. The bottle itself is why I tried this non-dairy milk. I looked on the shelf and saw this sexy and curvy bottle and was like is this “brick-house” non-dairy milk. It was so different. It had a nice $1.00 off coupon attached to it which helped as well.
Califia has 10 almond milk varieties:
- Holiday Nog
- Coconut Almondmilk
- Chocolate Coconut Almondmilk
- Unsweetened Vanilla
- Barista Blend
- Chocolate Protein
- Vanilla Protein
I have only been able to get my hands on 4 of them. I have personally tried the Vanilla, Original, Toasted Coconut Almond milk, and Unsweetened Almond milk. All 4 flavors have a smooth and creamy consistency and it tastes really clean. The natural almond flavor comes through nicely, without it being overpowering, and it’s not super-thick. My favorite flavor so far is the Toasted Coconut Almondmilk.
And don’t worry, if you are not a huge coconut fan but you are curious about the combination, you will be pleased to know that the coconut flavor is very subtle and I believe the coconut milk is added to add the creaminess of this blend. Or I would like to think, that Califia created the almond milk and coconut milk blend for people like me who love both almond and coconut so that we don’t have to choose.
The 48 ounce of Califia Farms Almondmilk cost $3.99 for 48 ounces (which is $0.08 per ounce). This is a little more than other almond milk brands, that usually sell for $2.99 for 64 ounces (which is $0.05 per ounce), but I think the extra cost is worth it. I highly recommend you give Califia Almondmilk a “TRY.”
